Problem

There is a known issue where regional settings may incorrectly set blank dates in CMS to show as 30/12/1899, prevent timesheets from saving as it looks for a year end value or problems displaying appointments:

Days move erratically on the calendar i.e. Thursday 1st September 2022, then Monday 10^th January 2022, then Sunday 2^nd October 2022, then Friday 11^th February 2022 etc.

Resolution

To fix this please follow the below steps:

1. Click the Windows Icon in bottom toolbar whilst in AVD (new cloud)

2. In the search bar, type in "Region settings".

3. Click on "Region Settings" (Globe with 'A' Character)

4. It should show a screen as below

5. Under "Preferred Languages", click "Add A language"

6. Search for "Ireland", click on "English (Ireland)" then click "Next"

7. Tick all options (importantly "Set as my Windows display language"), then click "Install"

8. After a minute or so, the new language pack should be added. Click on the 3 dots next to "English (United States)" and click "Remove"

9. Regional setting will also need to be changed under the "Region" group

10. Under "Country or region", select "Ireland" from the drop down

11. Under "Regional format", select "English (Ireland)" from the drop down

12. It is recommended to sign out so the display language can take affect. Click the "Windows" icon, click on your own name, then click "Sign out"

13. Once you sign back in, CMS should be displaying dates correctly.
